CVC Methodology



CVC methodology is scientific and radical where in the students are guided to concentrate on the meaningless word (abstract) intheir home-language along with the meaningful word (concrete). The word 'Cognitive Verb-side Code' indicates that the learner is trained to derive certain codes. The most important part of a sentence is the ‘Verb’ and in Malayalam it usually comes at the end. So it is very easy for a learner to derive the codes. Once the learner gets the code he can formulate its appropriate sentence structure using the formulae in the reference section. Its most notable feature is that the learner need not memorize at any level.

COGNITIVE VERB-SIDE CODE METHODOLOGY

Analyses these simple sentences:


It is obvious that usually the last part of Malayalam sentence –‘verb’ is the soul of a sentence, it communicates the meani-
ng. This verb part contains two elements a concrete part – and a abstract part –
respectively. We find that it is the abstact of verb structure which decides
the meaning of a sentence like the mathematical symbols ‘+’, ‘-’, ‘×’, ‘÷’ etc in a calculation! The most amazing part is that speaker acquires this part of his/her native-tongue before he/she goes to school. Only a person who has acquired the Mental Grammar of a language can perform the language skills like speaking, listening, reading, writing etc accurately and appropriately, otherwise he will attain fluency and accent but his/her language will be ill-formed and unintelligible!!!

Now arises the chief questions whether the linguistically disadvantaged learners can acquire the nuance, abstract part of the English Language and the Mental Grammar from their limited societal environment and large class rooms.

The answer is a big No!

Hence there is a great need for a radical English Learning and Teaching Methodology which can address this problem of the linguistically disadvantaged learners. The CVC Methodology is bilingual, non-traditional and scientific which chiefly focuses on the abstract and structure part of the verb. A learner is brought back to 2 years of mental age and he/she acquires the Mental Grammar part using codes and formulas.



A learner uses both his/her brains left hemisphere and right hemisphere to derive the codes in the process.

At the beginning, this brain training rewires the brain functions and consciously re-teaches information which the linguistically disadvantaged learners did not grasp during their initial period of the English language acquisition,gradually the training makes thinking, learning and processing information easier and faster unconsciously.
